A quick follow-up after my post on Atlético Mineiro trying to find value options on the Sorare platform.
I hope I haven't jinxed them! After talking about what good form they've been in, they've gone on to lose 2 straight, scoring only 1 goal in the process. Certainly the lack of some key pieces and incessant schedule have to be playing a role and so I don't think fans need to panic just yet. But on to the team news and assessment of assets:
Igor Rabello - He returned to the bench as an unused sub in Sunday's match. That means Gabriel's time as a starting center-back is likely to be over quite soon, although it's possible Réver make's way instead. Rabello's price has dropped and recent auctions are going for about .08 ETH. I'm tempted to try and snag one as I think he'd be a solid buy & hold or a flip opportunity.
Jefferson Savarino - Venezuela was eliminated from Copa America and should return to play with Atlético shortly, even as soon as their match on Thursday July 1. Hyoran and Keno have both struggled in the last couple games. It's anyone's guess which of them makes way for Savarino but based on the precedence of the lineups from April/early May, and the fact that Hyroan he hasn't been very consistent with his opportunity, I think he is the one to make way for Savairno. I sold my Hyoran card today thinking that if he goes back to the bench his price will drop, but if he stays in the starting 11 I may be able to grab him again before any significant price rise.
Guilherme Arana, Dodo, Allan - Atlético are in a bit of trouble at left-back for their midweek game. Arana received his 3rd yellow Sunday and will be suspended. Dodo, his backup, is still out with a thigh injury. Allan is a defensive mid but occasionally covers as a full back- he received 2 yellows Sunday and was sent off! Even plan D, center-back Junior Alonso, is still away for Copa America. So it's anyone's guess what manager Cuca will do!
Hey, can you suggest me some lineup player for Libertadores not expensive? :D
ReplyDeleteHey Luca!
DeleteIn defense I like Mariano. He recently took the starting right-back job away from Guga. He's 35 so the long-term value of the card is limited. But he did get a rest on Saturday along with several starters and should be good to go on Tuesday against Boca. His price has crept up over the past week but can still be found on the market for 0.043.
A secondary defensive option is 29 year-old Dodo at left-back. He is the backup to Arana and has been out injured for about a month. However, Arana is now away at the Olympics and Dodo seems to be healthy as he was listed in the traveling squad for the Libertadores game tomorrow. There is risk in rolling with Dodo though, since he has yet to play since his injury, and it's entirely possible the manager slides center-back Alonso over to left-back tomorrow instead of starting Dodo. The best market price for Dodo is 0.034 if you want to take the gamble.
In midfield I'd suggest Allan. He generally plays in a defensive midfield roll so his scoring upside is limited. However, he's a consistent starter, is only 24, and was rested on Saturday just like Mariano. Current best price on the market is 0.059.
Hope that helps!
